Clément Ducarteron

Co-Founder - CG Supervisor

It was in 2004, after watching The Incredibles, that Clément decided to pursue 3D. Confident in his decision, he began studying Arts and Technologies of Image at the University Paris 8 in 2013.

He honed his skills at Autour de Minuit for 4 years, where he quickly became indispensable as a 3D generalist on projects like I Want Pluto to Be a Planet Again, La Mort Père et FilsReruns by Rosto, and the series No-No. This experimental laboratory allowed him to work on various projects with very different techniques, thus developing his adaptability and curiosity. He then joined the Small team by MacGuff, adding tool creation skills to his arsenal. Continuing his quest, he collaborated with MeatDept in 2020 on the film Automated Customer Service from Love, Death & Robots, first as a generalist and then as a technical director. He returned to Autour de Minuit to further refine his skills, becoming a pipeline TD and then a pipeline supervisor, a role that allowed him to implement automation solutions and facilitate team work. He worked on the series Mush-Mush and the special No-No goes to Space during this time.

A true Swiss Army knife and Blender magician, he joined La Chouette Compagnie where he created the backgrounds, props, and 3D FX for the Disney+ series Dragon Striker, before embarking on new adventures.

Marichka Naumann

Co-Founder - Creative Producer

In love with books and passionate about animation, Marichka first worked as a specialized editor, publishing reference books on manga and animation.

Following her encounter with the founders of Studio La Cachette, she naturally transitioned towards animation film production in 2017. She began her career as an assistant director when they offered her a position on the film Sucker of Souls from Love, Death & Robots. Wanting to combine practice and theory, she resumed her studies in 2019 to join Gobelins, the School of Image, in the Audiovisual Production Management program. On this occasion, she joined the production team of La Cachette, where she remained until 2022, working on Primal and Unicorn Warriors Eternal, and finally with Star Wars Visions as the grand finale. She then joined La Chouette Compagnie to supervise the production of the original Disney+ series Dragon Striker.

The idea of co-founding a creative studio makes sense after finding a heartfelt team during this last production. Passionate about backgrounds like her associates, sensitive to atmosphere and lighting in cinematography, she believes in the power and poetry that a setting can bring to a story.

Furthermore, as a journalist specializing in manga and animation cinema, she continues to lead and write editorial projects related to these media.

Louis Tardivier

Co-Founder - Creative Director

A member of the 2008 Gobelins graduation class, he created his first animated short film, Après la pluie there. Parallel to his studies, he co-directed, at Le Dojo, a collective workshop in the Pyrénées Orientales, the stop-motion short film Daniel une vie en bouteille.

After graduating, he participated in the Animation Sans Frontières program across four European animation schools: Filmakademie, Mome, Animation Workshop, and Gobelins. He then joined Studio Soi in Berlin as a colorscript artist for the TV special The Gruffalo, followed by travels between Réunion and mainland France to develop the feature film Adama by Simon Rouby. In Barcelona, he collaborated with the studio Headless. Within the company Stank, he wrote, directed, and produced the short film L'Œil et la terre, featuring puppets manipulated in real-time and filmed in natural settings on the island of Réunion. With Stank, he simultaneously participated in the production of live-action and animated films as a designer or associate producer.

Since 2022, he has been working on writing and storyboarding a new short film, Trois ptérosaures, a narrative and stylistic triptych in 2D-3D animation and sculpture. He is also developing a feature film, Estela et l’arbre qui n’avait pas de nom, in 2D-3D with Emmanuel Briand. Additionally, he has joined Simon Rouby on his new feature film project, Pangea, produced by Miyu and Gaoshan Pictures. At the end of 2022, he joined Charles Lefèbvre's production design team to imagine the universe of Dragon Striker, an original Disney+ series.

Between photogrammetry, stop-motion, puppetry, and traditional animation, he explores and develops original techniques to adapt visual development to storytelling.
